Three for the win, acrylic on linen artwork.

New series for May, small artworks.

Cave art style series of cattle in motion.

I have made a batch of linen over MDF panels in a small scale (8 X 6 inch) which I will paint in an urban style with a cave art technique. This entails a background of stylised rock or wall effects over which I am painting a series of cows and bulls running. The medium will be Acrylic.

My aim to make artworks that almost seem to be chucks of wall/rock on which paintings have been made and then extracted. The linen is a rough weave and the layers of gesso enhance the hard texture.

Cows can pick up an impressive turn of speed when they run and the reason they do so is usually when they get excited, mostly by being let out after milking, and especially when first being let out in the spring after being kept indoors during the winter.

There are few things as joyous as a happy cow doing the zoomies!
